THE GREAT WAR!!!

THE GREAT WAR!!!

In 1916 the children were happy until everything went for the worst there was a war going on in Austro-Hungarian and Serbia and that involved but then 32 different countries were involved and one of them were New Zealand and Australia so King George gathered a whole heap of men, boys and girls to go train in Egypt and get ready to fight in the war. Older Brothers, Older Sisters , Dads, Uncles were taken to fight for our our freedom the men and Women said bye to their families. They all got on big war ships and dinghies to go train in Egypt and other places they explored around for hours days they ventured into the pyramids they saw sphinx and mummy’s. There was big sandstorms there. Everything would've been covered in sand.

The soldiers that were training would get letters from their families and packages. The Boys and Men would run long distances to get fit for the war so they could run faster so they can dodge bombs but they had planes that they would have to learn how to fly and they would have to learn how to drive tanks and cars to get from point A to point B on the battlefield. The soon to be fully trained soldiers that will serve our country well and that are willing to fight for are freedom. The training lasted a long time 4 years once it finished the soldiers went on boats to fight in the war everyone was happy until they got there the turks and germans were up the top of the hills dropping bombs down onto the ANZACS. The ANZACS had to dig trenches. The Men were all scared and not happy now They all probably wanted to go home and the soldiers were worried about their families. But it was time to go over the hill to fight. Lots of soldiers fell down to the ground lots of soldiers were def from the gun sounds and granada sounds.

The soldiers were all worried about their friends and families that they would make it through the war with them No one new if they were going to get through the war. And the families were worrying about the soldiers.

Sinence roadshow

 Science roadshow
The whole room two of blaketown school went to greyhigh high school to see science roadshow it was on the 14/7/17 it was really great. We all saw really cool science experiments there. We saw microscopes we also saw solar powered hotwheel car it had a light above it and it had a solar panel on it when you this week that the car was on the light would move it it's really cool. They had a hover car thing you sat on it and they pressed a button and it inflated. The high school kids would grab a metal bar and swing you around the ground but when it ran out of air it would deflate. My favorite thing there was the hovering car thing it was so fun but I nearly fell of.

There was like really heavy balls and really light balls. You had to put  them on rails and you had to race them to see which one got there the fastest the small ones always got there the quickest because it was the weight difference this was the best day ever. There was this thing when you had different weights and you had to lift the heaviest one and then you had to press a button and it would be lighter.

At the end one of our year 8s went up to assist and also this guy had liquid nitridied he grabbed a flower and dipped it in the flask it was frozen then he scrunched it up and it was so loud.  The year 8s name was Jess she went up and they dumped something into a test tube then it blasted fome everywhere but it’s real name is elephant's toothpaste.IMG_1918.JPG
Then said if you're ever doing science make sure that there is a parent supervising you.

poem Metaphors

Poem Metaphors

I am slow as a sloth.
My best friend is fast as a cat running through the field.
I am as lazy as a pug.
My hair is like a forest big and strong.
My eyebrows are like  thorn bushes sharp and pointy
I have eyes like eagles they can see for miles.
I have a heart like a drum going boom boom boom.
I slide so smooth like I am oil.
P:\2017\Room 2\DSC02900.JPGI am as pale as paper.
My arms are like slinkies so stretchy.
I am tan as a pancake.
I am slime like a doormat.
I am as energised as a cheetah.
I am as strong as a bull as I buck people off.
My family are like a plant growing together my mum is the flower keeping us together I am the root my brother Tyler is the steam my other brother Jamie is the petals always getting broken.
I am as cute as a newborn lamb.
I am as happy as a puppy getting born.

Conscience computer

What is Conscience?
A conscience is the voice in our head and the feeling in our heart , that tells you if something is right or wrong. Your conscience works like a super computer that compares what you are about to do against your core values to help you know if your actions are right or wrong.
Core Values are guiding beliefs about how people should behave and treat each other. Some examples of core values are honesty, respect and fairness.

I am Lucky to be a New Zealander Because

I am Lucky to be a New Zealand

I am Lucky to be a New Zealander Because
We don't have any people trying to shoot us and wars. We don’t have to go across a river to get to school we can walk, bus, bike, and go by car. New Zealand has no one terrorists trying to bomb us also kill us we are lucky to be so safe we don’t have crazed people trying to torture New Zealanders. New Zealand is the 7th most safe place on the earth at least we don’t have to zip line over a canyon with water in it
to get to school. In New Zealand people are healthy kids are lucky to have a free school we are also lucky to have supermarkets. In New Zealand we don’t have crazy people that attack school. there's never people trying to kill each other. We have bike trails. The nature is beautiful here. New Zealanders  citizens are nice and they would never hurt anyone
We don’t have people trying to rob stores in New Zealand. New Zealand does not have many flood’s here we don’t have to cross a broken bridge.

Portait Poem

   Portrait Poem
My hair is like a forest that is flat.
My eyebrows are like  bush’s that are short.
My brain is like google.
My ears are like dalmatians searching for fire’s.
My eyeballs are like searchlights searching for food.
My teeth are like fang’s hunting for food.
My heart is like a biscuit that is sweet.
My nostrils are like mine’s.
My Thought is like a slide
 Food and water  sliding down
My legs are like springs bouncing.

At the end of the day it’s good food so you can eat all day.
